The Peace Boys’ defender says they are going to have a good season despite their unimpressive pre-season activities

Plateau United’s Peter Suswan believes they are still on course with their preparations for the upcoming season and their participation in the Caf Champions League despite their poor pre-season campaign.

Suswan noted that the Peace Boys’ decision to start the pre-season activities late and their inability to go for a closed camping have affected them negatively but he is optimistic they will have a good season when they get a solution to their inactivity.

“You can’t say that we have failed to impress. We won the league in September and only started pre-season programme not too long. We are still trying to build a team and I believe by the time we end it you are going to be seeing a different team entirely,” Suswan told Goal.

“We have some new players that are yet to be fully integrated into the team. it takes time to raise a formidable team and I am assuring you that we are going to be unstoppable when we are done with our build up.

“We have seen how far we have gone with our preparation and we will be going back home to do an assessment of what we must do to hit the ground running.”

Suswan played for Lobi Stars before moving to Portugal to play for Vitoria Setubal but he resurfaced back to Nigeria last season with Enyimba from where he joined reigning league champions, Plateau United recently.
