Posta Rangers teach Kenya U-17 side a friendly lesson

The national U-17 team has suffered a 5-2 lose against Posta Rangers in a friendly played at Camp Toyoyo on Wednesday.

Coach Sammy 'Pamzo' Omollo started a strong side for the mailmen that included most of his first team players, but were shocked by a first minute goal scored by Keith Imbali, who took advantage of a slow start.

Former AFC Leopards man Marcellus Ingotsi made it even with a fine finish three minutes later before Kevin Onyango put the ball into his own net after fifteen minutes to put the youngsters in front once again.

The Kenyan Premier League side came back stronger in the second half, managing to get their three goals courtesy of Jeremiah Wanjala, who scored a brace in the 68th and 78th minute, before Luke Ochieng managed to score the final goal with eight minutes to go.

The U-17 team is preparing for Cecafa tournament to be staged in Tanzania this month and is in Group B alongside Uganda, Ethiopia, Southern Sudan and Djibouti.
