Cameroon's Ngadeu-Ngadjui nets hat-trick on Slavia Prague return

Cameroon’s Nations Cup stalwart Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui netted a hat-trick on his return for Czech Republic outfit Slavia Praha in their 8-1 rout of Pribram in the Czech Liga on Saturday.

This was the 26-year-old’s first outing for the Cervenobili since returning with the gold medal from Gabon a few weeks ago.

The defender-cum-midfielder was brought on as a second half substitute with his side already 3-0 up and he got on the scoresheet within three minutes of coming on to make it 4-0.

Ngadeu added his second in the 71st minute and completed his hat-trick and fourth strike of the season via an 81st minute penalty.

The win saw Slavia leapfrog rivals - Viktoria Plzen – to the first position on the log although Plzen have played one game less.

Having also scored twice in six appearances at the Afcon, Ngadeu continued from where he left off in Gabon.

Another Indomitable Lions star Karl Toko Ikambi netted a brace for his Ligue 1 side Angers in their 3-0 win over Bastia also on Saturday.

With Hugo Broos already counting down to his side’s first game after their Afcon triumph - which is the friendlies against Tunisia and Guinea in March, there is no doubt that the return to action, at club level, of some of his stars will gladden the Belgian mentor, who undoubtedly views the player as an integral member of his squad ahead of the upcoming friendlies.
