Naby Keita must learn the Liverpool style, says Klopp

Naby Keita has a lot of learning to do in pre-season and adapting to Liverpool's style of play is major, according to Jurgen Klopp.

The Guinea international officially joined the Anfield outfit on June 30 having agreed to a switch from RB Leipzig last summer after the club met his £48 million release clause.

The talented midfielder played a crucial role as the Bulls clinched a Europa League spot last season scoring nine goals in 39 appearances.

Keita along with Fabinho, who also joined the side this summer from AS Monaco were part of the team’s training session on Monday ahead of their tie with Chester on Saturday and the German tactician has charged them to maximise the opportunity afforded them before the season kicks off.

“Very, very happy to finally have Naby here. It took a while. Fabinho is also here and that’s perfect for the moment,” Klopp told club website.

“It’s even better they can start from the first day with the training because they have to learn the most, they have to adapt to our style of play.

“We have nine games until the season starts and we will need them all. They all are important in a different way. They are here, we can start, that’s good.”
