Mustapha Yatabare at the double to secure Konyaspor's first 2018-19 win

Mustapha Yatabare’s late strike inspired Konyaspor to their first win in the 2018-19 Turkish Super Lig season.

Rıza Calımbay’s men took the lead before the break with two early goals from Ugur Demirok and Yatabare in the 22nd and 30th minutes respectively.

Leo Schwechlen and Lokman Gor’s efforts, both coming in the 39th and 71st, cancelled out the hosts’ early dominance.

And with the tie headed for a deadlock, the former Trabzonspor forward, again struck in the 85th minute to hand the hosts a 3-2 win over Erdurum BB.

Yatabare was in action for the entire duration of the tie, while his Ivorian counterpart Moryke Fofana was substituted for Deni Milosevic and Burkina Faso’s Abdou Razak Traore came on to replace Volkan Findikli.

The Mali international will hope to have another productive outing when Konyaspor make the trip to Antalya Stadyumu to lock horns with Antalyaspor on August 18.
