William Muluya has exuded confidence ahead of Kariobngi Sharks debut on the continental stage.
The Kenyan representatives are set to take on Djibouti side Arta Solar7 in the Caf Confederations Cup preliminary round match on Tuesday.
Muluya, who booked his maiden appearance at the continental stage after lifting the Shield Cup, has cautioned that he will not underrate their opponents when the Sharks host Solar7 at the Kasarani Stadium.
“The players are in high spirits as it is their first time on the continental scene, which is enough motivation for us.
“We are both first timers in the competition but we will in no way underrate Arta Solar7. We will approach the match with caution and I’m confident we’ll get positive results,” Muluya noted, sentiments that were echoed by Captain Eric Kapaito, who scored 16 league goals last season.
