Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hubner has confirmed news that midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is on his way out of the club after just one season.
The Ghana international, who signed for the German side last summer, is set to join Italian outfit Sassuolo on a three-year deal following a successful campaign with The Eagles.
His 31 Bundesliga appearances, involving 27 starts and six goals, helped Frankfurt finish eighth on the log, while a further five outings helped the team clinch the German Cup.
"It's true that Prince is working on a transfer," Hubner has told the press.
"It is not yet done but you can assume that he'll leave us. He's come to us with a transfer request.

"We're losing a personality on and off the pitch and this is a shame.
"He has brought great performances here and has become an absolute leader. But we're optimistic that we'll be able to compensate for that."
Having signed a three-year deal with Frankfurt, Boateng, who was once on the books of Italian side AC Milan, still has two more seasons left on his contract with The Eagles.
"It is the first time that he can leave Germany with a sense of achievement," Hubner added.
"[Board member] Fredi Bobic has tried to convince him, but anyone who knows Kevin knows that he has a clear vision, a clear position and a clear path.
"Sassuolo is very close to his centre of life in Milan, which shows that money is not always the decisive factor; there's more to it.
"A large transfer fee will not come to us. That was the agreement since we got him without a huge financial effort."
Boateng played in Italy for Milan between 2010 and 2013 before making a brief return to the side in 2016.
He also had stints with Hertha Berlin, Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund in Germany, Las Palmas in Spain as well as Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth in England.
