WHY DID DE BRUYNE HAVE A BRUISE? The injury occurred during training with City when someone accidentally kicked a ball off of his face.

WHAT THEY SAID: Pep Guardiola did not address De Bruyne's black eye after the match, but admitted that he wasn't completely satisfied with his performance. "Kevin can be better," said the City boss.
