Chan 2018: Cameroon coach Song hoping to shoot down Angola

Cameroon will be going all out when they face Angola at the 2018 African Nations Championship on Saturday, the Indomitable Lions coach Rigobert Song has said.

The two teams will be fighting for their first three points of the tournament when they lock horns in their second Group D game at Stade Andrar in Agadir.

Cameroon appear to be the hungrier side, owing to their 1-0 shock defeat to Congo in their opener.

"We have no choice but to win against Angola if we want to stay in the running," Song told pressmen.

"The defeat against Congo hurt us but we must accept it because it is the rule of football. We have prepared well for Angola.

"We saw Angola’s match against Burkina Faso to get to know our opponent, especially their strong and weak points.

"We now have a serious idea of this Angolan team. We will put in place a strategy to counter it.

"The players are calm and determined to give their best to win the match."

Cameroon currently sit bottom of the group ahead of the second round of matches.

On their third Chan appearance, the Indomitable Lions are hoping to go beyond the quarterfinals which they attained in 2011 and 2016.

In the other game, group leaders Congo, meanwhile, play Burkina Faso, who drew goalless with Angola on matchday one.
