Arsenal team news: Alexis left out of squad ahead of Man United move

Alexis Sanchez has been left out of Arsenal's matchday squad to face Crystal Palace as the Chilean awaits a move to Manchester United.

The 28-year-old's imminent transfer to United will see Henrikh Mkhitaryan go the other way and join the Gunners following protracted negotiations over a swap deal.

Sanchez's departure has also seen Arsenal make their first formal bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, who has already agreed personal terms with the club.

Wenger's side lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal returning to the starting XI, while Mohamed Elneny partners Granit Xhaka in central midfield.

Alex Iwobi, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil start ahead of the midfield two with Alexandre Lacazette in his favoured centre forward role upfront.
