Wrexham transfer imminent? Rangers confirm Tom Lawrence exit as Welsh midfielder tipped to join Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's project at Racecourse Ground

Scottish giants Rangers have announced that Lawrence is one of many players who will leave the club this summer. The 31-year-old midfielder has been linked with a Wrexham move, and now that he is a free agent, that path is open to him.

Wrexham have gone from the National League to the Championship in just three years, and now they are looking to go one better and reach the Premier League. Former Wales international Lawrence has that Welsh connection but it remains to be seen if the Red Dragons will move for the 31-year-old.

The former Manchester United youth player scored 11 goals in 65 games for Rangers between 2022-25. Prior to joining the Gers, he spent five seasons at Derby County, scoring 37 goals in 185 matches.

As Wrexham prepare for life in the Championship under Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, speculation may increase over a Lawrence transfer. But there is no guarantee the ex-Ipswich Town loanee will head to the Racehorse Ground this summer.
