From EFL to EA FC! Injured Wrexham star Andy Cannon receives ‘amazing’ gift from Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney’s trusted ally that will alleviate boredom during knee ligament recovery

Cannon suffered a knee injury and had to be stretchered off during Wrexham's 2-1 win over Mansfield Town, and underwent surgery and has now been ruled out for the rest of the season. Ker, an executive at Wrexham and a trusted ally of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has now gifted Cannon a PlayStation 5 to help the midfielder waste some time during his lengthy recovery period.

On Instagram, Cannon posted a photo of his new PlayStation 5 and captioned the image: "Amazing delivery from Humphrey Ker making sure I don't get bored in recovery. What a man! Appreciate it."

Since joining the Red Dragons in 2022, the 28-year-old has played a crucial role in the teams that were promoted in back-to-back campaigns. Cannon has made 28 appearances in all competitions during the 2024–25 season, tallying four goals. His injury is a serious setback for the Welsh team, who are hoping to advance to the Championship with their third straight promotion.

Phil Parkinson's side will now have cope without Cannon for the rest of the season and will be back in action when they face Huddersfield Town on Tuesday, March 4 in League One action.
