Women's Ballon d'Or 2023 official rankings: Aitana Bonmati picks up Golden Ball after World Cup heroics with Spain and bossing it for Barcelona

The Women's Ballon d'Or remains a relatively new trophy on the world football scene, but lifting the Golden Ball is quickly becoming a dream for many of the world's best players. And after a memorable 12 months for the women's game, the 2023 winner has been confirmed as Aitana Bonmati.

After a superb season for Barcelona that ended with them regaining the Champions League via a stunning comeback in the final, Bonmati rubber-stamped her status as one of the best players on the planet as she shone for eventual winners Spain at the World Cup, picking up the Golden Ball as the tournament's best player in the process.

And while the 25-year-old was a runaway winner, there were 29 other players nominated for the award ahead of the ceremony in Paris on Monday, October 30, and France Football have revealed the final rankings:
