Ronaldo Junior, who is now 13 years of age, has been following his dad around as the Portuguese superstar prolongs his remarkable playing career at the age of 38. CR7 has spent time at Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United and Al-Nassr since becoming a father for the first time time.

His oldest son has joined academy ranks in Spain, Italy, England and Saudi Arabia after displaying plenty of his own potential. Ronaldo Jr has inherited a useful habit of hitting the back of the net, while he boasts the kind of quick feet that were once showcased by his father when bursting onto the scene as a tricky winger with Sporting and Premier League giants United.

It remains to be seen whether Ronaldo Jr will become a professional in his own right, but he is certainly making all of the right noises at present. Fellow youngster Yahya Idrissi – who forms part of Chelsea’s academy system – has posted a video on social media of a stunning free-kick being registered during a light-hearted kickabout.

Ronaldo senior has previously said of his son’s chances of being a professional footballer: “I'm hard with him sometimes because he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta sometimes and I'm p*ssed with him. I fight with him when he eats chips and fries and everything, he knows I don't like it.” While questions may have been asked of the teenager off the pitch in recent years, he looks to be progressing positively enough on it.
