USMNT star Christian Pulisic sets abnormal trophy target with AC Milan as Serie A giants ready themselves for Coppa Italia final

The United States international has already opened his account on the silverware front this season, with a first major honour at San Siro being collected when seeing off arch-rivals Inter in Supercoppa Italiana competition.

Milan have continued to struggle for consistency domestically, with an eighth-place standing in Serie A leaving them outside of the European qualification places as things stand. They do, however, have more tangible success to chase down.

Bologna are set to be faced at Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Wednesday, with Pulisic pointing out that two trophies in one season should be considered success if the Rossoneri are able to claim another domestic prize.

Pulisic told Sky Sport Italia: "We found some consistency now, which is important for us. We know that we have a great spirit, but we’re playing really good games at the moment.

"If we win two trophies in one season, you cannot say that is a normal campaign. We want to keep that going.

"Of course, we’re not satisfied with where we are in Serie A, but we’re doing well right now and it is important that we end the season well."

Milan have just two Serie A fixtures left to take in. They are looking for Pulisic to inspire a faultless end to the 2024-25 campaign, with the American forward having posted a personal best return of 17 goals this season.
