Sydney Sweeney's Instagram DMs 'packed with messages' from Man Utd, Liverpool & Arsenal players after Hollywood star's split from fiance Jonathan Davino

The Hollywood actress split from fiance Jonathan Davino earlier this year, confirming that she was single when saying: “I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it.”

Sweeney had been with producer Davino since 2018, with plans to marry drawn up in 2022. They have now headed their separate ways, with 27-year-old White Lotus star Sweeney said to be casually dating in the United States.

That stance is seeing her ignore advances from around the world, with sporting stars from English football among those said to have taken their shot. A source has told The Sun: “Her Instagram DMs are packed with messages from famous men trying to get in contact with her. It’s mostly guys playing for teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal.

“They offer her trips to Europe to see them and take her on a date, but she’s not the kind of person who does that. Some of them are very insistent and have even tried to find her address to send her flowers, but she always refuses. I’d say more than 100 people, from celebs to millionaires or very rich people from the Middle East and Asia, contact her every month.”

Friends have joked that Sweeney has become “the most wanted woman in America since Madonna”, but she will not stand for any obscene behaviour on social media. The Sun’s source added: “The ones who cross the line of respect are quickly blocked.

“Not long ago, an American actor who had recently divorced approached her to take her on a date. She declined and he started being very rude, so she told him to stop talking to her and to show some respect to her and all women.”

Sweeney has been generating headlines in her private and professional lives of late, with the Euphoria star fronting a promotional campaign for clothing brand American Eagle that has gone viral.
