Revealed: Wrexham made late play for ex-Man Utd & Tottenham star Christian Eriksen as Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney refused to get up ambitious transfer pursuit
Wrexham reportedly made a late play for ex-Manchester United and Tottenham star Christian Eriksen after the summer transfer window had closed.
Wrexham had asked questions of Eriksen’s representatives again by that point, with Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney refusing to give up an ambitious bid to bring the 33-year-old Dane on board.

Wrexham Insider claim that: "Wrexham did have further conversations with his people after the window closed – mainly checking on him and his stance over dropping into Championship. They still had a little hope he would be open to the idea but he obviously got his wish of top-flight football with Wolfsburg."
WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?
Wrexham, who have also been linked with ex-Spurs and England star Dele Alli, left one space open in their 25-man Championship squad. That is expected to be filled by Ollie Rathbone after seeing the all-action midfielder make positive progress in his recovery from a pre-season ankle injury.
