Real Salt Lake finished their final preseason game of their tour on Wednesday against New York Red Bulls in a thrilling 3-3 draw. That brought an end to their pre-season schedule, with RSL ending the tour unbeaten but having one just once, a 3-0 win over Las Vegas Lights. While that doesn’t have fans excited, the club has quietly reinforced the squad with moves for Tyler Wolff, Elias Manoel, Sam Junqua, and several others. They’ve also loaned in defender Kobi Henry from Ligue 1 side Reims for the season.
It does give head coach Pablo Mastroeni something to work with especially as the club has managed to keep 2024 MLS Young Player of the Year Diego Luna at the club. The 21-year-old thrived last term and many will be hoping he can replicate the same form and talent he showed. RSL open their 2025 MLS campaign against the San Jose Earthquakes on February 22 with their two-legged 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup First-Round Match against CS Herediano at either end.
