Preparing for life after Vinicius Jr? Real Madrid keeping close eye on Borussia Dortmund wonderkid

Relevo have reported that Real Madrid are considering a swoop for Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who has enamoured the higher-ups at the reigning LaLiga and Champions League champions.

The reason why Real Madrid admire Gittens is due to his ability to create chaos in the final third, along with his versatility which enables him to play as a winger on either flank, as well as his high output (he has scored 11 goals in 34 games in all competitions).

Another reason could be the potential departure of Vinicius Jr., who has been heavily linked with a blockbuster move to Saudi Arabia this summer, which would see him become the world's highest-paid player.

Madrid aren't the only side keeping tabs on the 20-year-old English winger. A host of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, are on the lookout for the Dortmund attacker. Bayern Munich, too, have been reported to be interested in acquiring Gittens' services.

While Gittens is enjoying a breakout season, Dortmund have been below par in the Bundesliga this season. After 22 games, they have accumulated just 29 points, languishing in 11th spot on the table. The former Man City youth player will be expected to step up for BVB if they are to maintain any hopes of securing a European spot for the 2025-26 season.
