Olivier Giroud to MLS? Milan striker won't say no as he prepares for new 'opportunities' at the end of the season

Speaking with La Gazzetta via Football Italia, the French strike shared that he will welcome any, younger, forward competition at Milan, but is also considering his future at the moment. The key to any forthcoming move for the ex-Chelsea forward is that the move will have to be one good for his children, as he shared that any decision will be made with the thought of his family first.

“I still don’t know what will happen in the future. I know that I am happy at Milan and that we’ve done great things,” he claimed. “It’s a great love story. The club and I haven’t discussed an extension yet, we’ll see and decide later on. The most important thing is to remain focused on the team’s targets.

When asked about a potential move stateside, the Frenchman replied: “MLS? There are other countries too. There will be more opportunities at the end of the season and I’ll decide. As a father and as a footballer.”

Giroud, even at his age, would be an impactful player in MLS. If he were to join the league this summer, he would be a high-profile signing for any squad in the league. However, one has to wonder if he would opt to link-up with fellow superstars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in Miami.

The Frenchman has another six months left in the current Milan campaign until he will need to make a decision about his future. The 37-year-old is still playing at a high level, with 10 goals and seven assists this current Serie A campaign.
