'We want it, that's for sure' - Mikel Arteta has the Premier League title in his sights as Arsenal boss demands his team keep up their winning run

A fourth-minute strike from Martin Odegaard set Arsenal on the way to a 5-0 win, with a double from Bukayo Saka while goals from Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz rounded off another relentless performance.

Arsenal sit just two points behind leaders Liverpool, and Arteta believes his side are finding the consistency that will be required to see off the challenges of Liverpool and Manchester City.

Speaking to the BBC's Match of the Day after Saturday's win, Arteta said: "At the moment all we can do is win our games and after our big two wins away from home we have a tough one in the Champions League at Porto.

"I hope we can do it [win the title] because we are there but it is about consistency and you see the standards of the other teams. We want it, that's for sure."

Arsenal's festive wobble led to questions over whether Arsenal should make a move for a striker in January's transfer window. But the Gunners have bounced back with a five-game winning streak scoring 21 goals in the process. Arteta will be delighted to see goals coming from a host of different scorers.

Attention turns to the Champions League for Arsenal this week, with Arteta's men travelling to Portugal for the first leg of their last-sixteen tie with Porto on Wednesday.
