  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Dortmund recently confirmed that club legend Reus will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season. The Germany international has not yet announced where his future lies, but former France and Manchester City player Nasri claims that he knows where Reus will end up.

    WHAT NASRI SAID

    Nasri said on Canal+: "I talked to Marco Reus. He said he loves football too much to quit right now and will go to MLS next season."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

    The 34-year-old is already in talks with MLS side St Louis City over a possible summer transfer, The Athleticreports, and he is still friends with former Dortmund Roman Burki, who is currently at the American club. Talks are still in the early stages, however, as clubs from Turkey and Saudi Arabia have also been linked with him.

    WHAT NEXT FOR REUS?

    Reus has spent 12 years at Dortmund and has won two DFB-Pokal titles with the club. He has also helped fire them to the Champions League final this season after they beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on aggregate in the semi-finals. He will hope to bow out of the club at the end of the season as a European champion, with Dortmund taking on either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the final at Wembley.
