According to Corriere dello Sport, via Sport Witness, soon-to-be free agent David would prefer a move to United, Barcelona, or Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain. However, his preference would be to head to the Premier League for next season.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Despite that, the report adds that United have not made any advances to sign the 25-year-old - even though the Canadian international would be available on a free transfer. The Red Devils missed out on Liam Delap, who swapped Ipswich Town for Chelsea, and they have doubts about Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. But it seems David is not in their thinking for now.
WHAT DAVID SAID
He told The Athletic this week: "I want a club with ambition that wants to do something. Obviously, I would love to fight for titles, to win titles. A team that’s competitive, that has ambition, really, with a good sporting project."

WHAT NEXT?
It remains to be seen if David will get his dream move, or perhaps stay in Ligue 1 - just as team-mate Angel Gomes may do. But his goal return of 109 goals in 232 games for the French outfit is not to be sniffed at.
