Man Utd hold fresh contract talks with Kobbie Mainoo as midfielder's agents make eye-watering wage demand to Red Devils

Mainoo is tied to United until the summer of 2027, but had been linked with a move away from the club in the January transfer window, with Chelsea reportedly ready to snap him up.

The Daily Mail reports that United have already begun negotiations with Mainoo's representatives, with the Red Devils determined to keep the England international for a long time. The player's representatives are demanding that United raise his wages to £ 180,000 per week plus bonuses.

Mainoo has been out with a muscle injury since early February, having last featured against Leicester in the FA Cup fourth round.

Mainoo has been ruled out of United's match against Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday.
