  • Nypan making a name for himself at Rosenborg
  • His versatility in attack has garnered attention
  • Several European giants sending scouts to watch him

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Nypan, who made his senior international debut with Norway at just 16, has proven himself capable of playing multiple positions with equal finesse. He can operate as a No. 8 in central midfield, as a more attacking No. 10, and even as a centre-forward if required. His adaptability has not only cemented his reputation in Norway but also drawn the attention of clubs across Europe, who see him as an ideal investment for the future.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

According to TEAMtalk, several European giants are working tirelessly to position themselves as potential landing spots for the talented midfielder, with Chelsea and German powerhouse Borussia Dortmund among those who have been sending scouts to watch his progress. United's scouts have also observed him multiple times, reportedly impressed by his ability to fit into various tactical setups - qualities that new manager Ruben Amorim greatly values.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The English clubs are well aware of the competition, especially as Real Madrid have also shown strong interest. Real’s recruitment team has closely followed Nypan’s progress, seeing in him the same potential that led them to sign Odegaard at a similar age. While no official offers have been made, the Spanish giants have reportedly been in contact with Nypan’s representatives to discuss his potential career path, emphasising their commitment to nurturing young talents from Scandinavia. Given Madrid’s pedigree and the exposure they offer on the global stage, Nypan might find it difficult to decline if they make a formal approach.

    WHAT NEXT FOR NYPAN?

Nypan's contract runs until December 2026, but it’s believed that he has little intention of signing an extension, allowing Rosenborg to cash in now. The Norwegian club is expected to set a price tag between £15-20 million (€24 million or $25.4 million), a significant figure for a teenager but one that reflects his immense potential. The financial incentive, combined with Nypan’s desire to progress at an elite level, has set the stage for a potential bidding war among Europe’s elite clubs.
