WHAT HAPPENED?

After the ruling was announced, Premier League fans took to social media to call for City and Chelsea to face even harsher punishments, if they are found to have broken the rules too. That investigation is still ongoing. Chelsea are also under the microscope due to apparent payments made by former owner Roman Abramovich that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/revealed-chelsea-face-points-deduction-secret-roman-abramovich-payments-tens-of-millions-breach-FFP/blteab755b98a6e5673#csd28c4074da056b7f" target="_blank">may have broken financial rules</a>.
