After three weeks on the sideline, Lionel Messi was once again left out of the Inter Miami starting XI against Monterrey.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Tata Martino named his starting XI for the Herons Wednesday evening, and the Argentine was not included as the club continued its chase for silverware this season. While the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner was not named to the squad, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez were all penciled in to the Starting XI for the Herons.
The Herons and Monterrey are two of the favorites to win the Champions Cup this season, per Draft Kings. Inter Miami's odd are +275 while Rayados are +500, respectively first and third in the order.

WHAT NEXT FOR INTERT MIAMI?
The Herons clash with CF Monterrey Wednesday evening in leg one of the tie, then will turn their attention to MLS action against the Colorado Rapids. Then, leg two of their CCC match with Rayados will be held on Wednesday, April 10.
