Liam Delap decides! Ipswich star ready to snub Man Utd move as striker chooses preferred destination ahead of potential £30m summer move

According to the Daily Star, Delap wants to join a club playing in Europe next season, with Chelsea or Arsenal said to be his preferred destination. United have reportedly made it clear to the 22-year-old they want him but he is 'having doubts' about joining the Premier League giants.

Delap has a £30 million ($39.5m) release clause if Ipswich get relegated from the Premier League, with the Tractor Boys very likely to drop into the Championship. If these reports are to be believed, it is telling that one of the biggest clubs in the world, in United, cannot attract a player such as Delap.

United are languishing down in 14th in the Premier League, so their only hope of playing in the Champions League next season is by winning the Europa League. Arsenal are very likely to be in the competition next term and Chelsea have a fighting chance as well.

Transfer speculation aside, Delap is likely to feature for Ipswich against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
