Real beat their city rivals 2-1 in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie, with goals from Rodrygo and Brahim Diaz doing the damage. But Mbappe was quiet all evening and did not look happy as he walked straight off the field at full time.

WHAT ANCELOTTI SAID
Ancelotti said: "Mbappe wasn't at his best but he still did his job because it's not easy to play against Atletico's defence."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
It was a rare off night for Mbappe, who has increasingly impressed in a Real shirt since signing on a free transfer in the summer. The Frenchman has scored 28 goals in 41 appearances, including a hat-trick in the second leg of the Champions League play-off round against Manchester City last month.

WHAT NEXT FOR MBAPPE AND REAL MADRID?
It is a busy period for Real, who sit third in La Liga but just three points behind leaders Barcelona. They play Rayo Vallecano in the league on Sunday before the second leg against Atletico next midweek.
