Jedi magic! USMNT star Antonee Robinson explains zero to hero transformation as medal target is set for 2024

The 26-year-old full-back is now a seasoned Premier League performer, as he closes in on four years of service at Craven Cottage, and has taken his tally of assists in the current campaign to six following an eye-catching performance against Tottenham – allowing him to emulate record-setting achievements from former United States international Clint Dempsey.

Robinson has come a long way in a short space of time, with the flying left-back telling Fulham’s official website of the end product that he has added to his game: “It’s pretty good, it’s definitely better than the one [assist] I had last season, and the zero I had my first Prem season! Obviously people are getting in the right spot and scoring for me, which I’m happy about. I just think I’ve been playing a little bit better, so I’ll take that.”

While thriving at club level, Robinson – who is affectionately known as Jedi – is about to head off on CONCACAF Nations League finals duty with America. He added on chasing down major silverware: “We’ve obviously got semis and a final - hopefully - coming up, so I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully I can take this confidence into the internationals, contribute and come home with a medal.”

Robinson helped the USMNT to Nations League glory in 2020 and 2023, so is looking to complete a notable hat-trick. He also has major tournament action to come in the summer as the United States prepare to play host to the 2024 Copa America.
