Harry Maguire linked with shock move from Man Utd to Al-Nassr to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo on free transfer

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire could be set for a sensational switch to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Nassr reportedly lining up a move that would see him reunite with former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo. The England international's deal at Old Trafford expires next summer, and United are not expected to offer fresh terms as they plan for the future.

    Maguire, who joined Manchester United from Leicester City for £80 million in 2019, is into the final year of his contract.     What Maguire has said about his Man Utd future

    Speaking on his future earlier this year, Maguire said: "Last year, the clause was in their hands, so there was no option for me there. There was no talking. It was just that they activated it, and it got extended. This year, obviously, I'm up at the end of the year."

    He continued: "I'm sure over the next few months they'll sit down and we'll have to have a conversation about where we want to go and if they want to extend, or obviously the transfer window will open again in January. Obviously, I have something in my mind about what I want to do and what I want to be. I don't want to put it out there to everybody, but it's an amazing club to play for and you'd be silly if you wanted to jump out of it as soon as you could."

    Maguire wants to get back into England squad

    The former United captain has fallen out of favour under Thomas Tuchel and faces an uphill battle to reclaim his place in the England setup before the 2026 World Cup.
