  • WHAT HAPPENED?

It had been expected that Endrick would look to get regular first team football away from the Spanish giants and move on loan to another side in Europe. The Brazilian starlet has found it difficult to break into the first team and the presence of Kylian Mbappe ahead of him in the pecking order made the prospect of a temporary move away from the club attractive. However, Marca are reporting that the forward is keen to fight for his place and stay at the club.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Endrick wants to prove that he can be of importance to Carlo Ancelotti in the second half of the season and believes he can best prove himself in Madrid, as opposed to at another club. The youngster is confident he can demonstrate his ability and become a key player for the side this season and believes he has already overcome similar challenges at Palmeiras that will help him again. Endrick is happy to bide his time in Madrid.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Endrick joined Real Madrid for €60 million (£52m/$64m) in the summer with a huge amount of hype after scoring first his Brazil goal at Wembley but has struggled to stamp his mark in the Spanish capital. He has played just 149 minutes of football this season and is yet to start for Ancelotti's side.
