David Luiz to Wrexham?! Ryan Reynolds teases blockbuster double transfer for Chelsea legend & second Brazil international after 'secret scouting mission'

The Hollywood superstar is in Brazil for the latest leg of the Deadpool & Wolverine promotional tour. While in the South American nation, Reynolds has stopped by the iconic Marcana stadium – firing home a penalty that left Red Dragons striker Paul Mullin impressed.

Reynolds is not in ownership mode at present, with his day job taking centre stage, but Wrexham are never far from his thoughts. He has admitted to being "homesick for SToK Racecourse" while taking in trips to places a long way outside of North Wales.

Former Chelsea and Arsenal defender Luiz helped to show Reynolds the sights of Rio de Janeiro, alongside fellow Brazil international Pedro – who was included in his country’s 2022 World Cup squad – with Wrexham’s co-chairman joking about a double swoop on Flamengo for two proven superstars.

Reynolds is making the funds available, alongside Rob McElhenney, for Wrexham to keep dipping into the transfer market. More business may be lined up while Phil Parkinson’s side are in North America, with the Red Dragons squad heading off on another pre-season tour ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
