Inter Miami owner David Beckham sends emotional message to Ian Fray after Herons star marks return from painful ACL injury with opener in MLS victory over Columbus Crew

Beckham, 49, has taken to his personal social media to send a message to Fray, who returned to the Inter Miami first team against Columbus Crew following an ACL injury. Fray netted the opening goal in the tenth minute, as they went on to win 2-1.

Speaking on his personal Instagram account, Beckham wrote: "Tough moments in this young man's career over the past few years but this kid doesn't give in... belief and perseverance. Congratulations mate."

Fray wasoriginally injured during a non-contact passage of play in Miami's Leagues Cup clash against Liga MX side Cruz Azul back in July 2023. The defender was ruled out for the remainder of the 2023 season but has now made his return.

After helping Miami extend its lead at the top of the Easter Conference to two points, Fray and his teammates will now look ahead to the upcoming clash against Nashville SC on June 30.
