    GOALKEEPERS

Fenerbahce's Dominik Livakovic is the senior-most and first-choice goalkeeper for Croatia at the moment and he is expected to be a guaranteed name on the team sheet at the Euros. He has over 50 caps to his name and will hope to put up a clinical show as Croatia hope to go past the quarter-finals of the competition.

Nediljko Labrović and Ivica Ivušić are the back-ups in the squad and can step in if needed.

    DEFENDERS

Domagoj Vida and Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol are expected to play a vital role at the back for Croatia. Supporting them via the flanks are likely to be Bayer Leverkusen's Josip Stanisic and Union Berlin's Josip Juranovic.

Lyon centre-back Duje Caleta-Car missed out on a place in the squad, but Borna Sosa is another capable choice at the back and is on the roster.

    MIDFIELDERS

The midfield is arguably Croatia's strongest department and it has been that way for many years now. It will be difficult to get into a midfield that is formed by the captain Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic and Mateo Kovacic. They have a combined total of over 350 appearances for the national team.

However, in their absence, the likes of Nikola Vlasic, Lovro Majer and Mario Pasalic can step in and get the job done as well.

    FORWARDS

Andrej Kramaric is the best performer among the national team forwards available for selection and he is expected to lead the line at the Euros. Ivan Perisic and Marco Pasalic are expected to support him from wide areas.

Josip Brekalo has been excluded, but Ante Budimir, Marko Pjaca and Bruno Petkovic are all in the squad, fit for selection.

    EXPECTED XI

Head coach Dalic is expected to field his team in a 4-3-3 formation, with the experienced Livakovic in goal.

Forming a solid defence at the back will likely be Juranovic, Vida, Gvardiol and Stanisic. In the midfield, Modric, Brozovic and Kovacic are practically guaranteed names.

Perisic, Kramaric and Pasalic are likely to form an inverted triangle in the final third.

Croatia (4-3-3): Livakovic; Juranovic, Vida, Gvardiol, Stanisic; Modric, Brozovic, Kovacic; Perisic, Kramaric, Pasalic.
