Competition for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney? National League North side Chorley claim 90s boyband Boyzone are eyeing investment in the club

Following the arrival of Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney at Wrexham in 2021, several celebrities have invested in English football including NFL legends Tom Brady and JJ Watt who own Birmingham City. Now as per Chorley FC, 90s Irish boy band Boyzone are all set to invest in their club, they recently confirmed.

In a statement, the club wrote, "This is a game-changer that has the potential to bring our town into the limelight like never before, generating a buzz and publicity that will shine a bright light on Chorley and the local area. We are bursting with excitement and gratitude for this incredible opportunity. Boyzone’s presence at the game will undoubtedly create an electric atmosphere, filled with music, joy, and a shared love for football and a close-knit, family community."

The Magpies currently find themselves sixth in the National League North as they have managed to pick up 50 points from 30 matches. Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson, who hails from Chorley, recently welcomed Boyzone's arrival at the club.

The surviving band members Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy are expected to attend the club's FA Trophy clash against Solihull Moors on Saturday.
