Bayern Munich make crunch decision on Leroy Sane's future after Arsenal hold fresh talks with former Man City winger

Sane, who is in the final few months of his contract at Allianz Arena, has attracted interest from Arsenal, who are looking to sign new players in attack to bolster their squad this summer. Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg, however, reports that Bayern Munich are all set to offer a new deal to the Germany international.

The journalist further claimed that Bayern's board and supervisory board have approved Sane's contract extension. Sporting director Max Eberl will present a new deal to the player that will be valid until 2028. The winger is also eager to stay at the Bundesliga club. The Gunners, on the other hand, have held a fresh round of talks with the player's representatives, but the 29-year-old is likely to remain with the Bavarian club.

Sane had a tough start to the 2024-25 campaign, but he has regained form since last December. In the second half of the season, the winger has scored eight Bundesliga goals and has played an important role in helping his club consistently maintain a healthy lead over Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the table.

Vincent Kompany's side will be back in action in the Champions League on Tuesday as they take Inter in the first leg of their quarter-final fixture at Munich.
