Barcelona to field an entire La Masia XI?! Hansi Flick admits Catalans could put out homegrown team after beating Real Madrid to La Liga title

Barcelona completed a domestic treble earlier this week after they beat Espanyol 2-0 to secure their 28th La Liga title. Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez were on target as the Catalan giants comfortably beat their rivals to clinch the Championship with two games to spare.

With the title already sealed, Flick can afford to rest some of his first-team players and give opportunity to the youngsters. Ahead of their upcoming La Liga fixture against Villarreal, the German coach hinted that he might consider fielding a starting lineup with all homegrown players of the club.

At his pre-match conference, the Barcelona boss said: "It's true that we've talked about it and it's an option, but we haven't decided yet."

After facing Villarreal this weekend, the Blaugrana will play their final game of the 2024-25 campaign on May 25 when they take on Athletic Club away from home.
