    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Per Romano, Brentford have given Norgaard permission to travel for a medical, after he agreed personal terms with the Gunners. However, the Denmark international is unlikely to be their main recruit in central midfield, with a deal for Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Norgaard joined Brentford in 2019, helping them win promotion to the Premier League under compatriot Thomas Frank. Frank has recently taken over from Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham manager, meaning the two Danes could come up against each other in the north London derby.
