Arsenal's striker search hits a wall! Gunners REFUSE to pay up for Benjamin Sesko & Viktor Gyokeres after deeming asking prices too high

Per Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg, the Gunners have refused to match RB Leipzig's massive €80 million-€100m asking price for star striker Sesko. The Premier League are in touch with the player's representatives but are yet to fully agree on personal terms. The club have not even launched a formal bid for the forward.

The report adds that Arsenal could now shift their focus to Gyokeres. The Swedish striker will hope that Sporting CP will let him leave the club this summer for a transfer fee in the region of €60m–€70m. The Portuguese giants, however, could demand a higher fee.

Another direction Arsenal could pursue involves strengthening their options on the wing. Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams is viewed as a dream addition, although acquiring him would not come cheap. The Spanish club want £50m ($68m) paid upfront, and Williams' wage demands could pose significant challenges, potentially breaching the Gunners' current salary framework.

Mikel Arteta's side will reassemble in late July and are scheduled to travel to Singapore and Hong Kong for their pre-season tour.
