Arsenal's 'mess'! Gunners slammed over indecision in Benjamin Sesko & Viktor Gyokeres transfer sagas

It's nearly a month now since the Premier League 2024-25 campaign concluded and Arsenal fans are becoming frustrated with the club's lack of activity in the summer transfer window. While their closest rivals in recent years, Liverpool and Manchester City, have started spending heavily on new arrivals, the Gunners are yet to shell out a single penny in the market.

The Telegraph, however, reports that the Gunners are working on multiple deals behind the scenes and the names will be out soon. They have already sealed the transfer of Spain international Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad and his arrival will be formally announced soon. The club are closing in on securing a transfer for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The signing that the Arsenal fans are eagerly waiting for is one of Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres. The north London side has remained linked with a move for the forwards since last month, though a recent report claimed that the club could pull out of the negotiations due to massive asking prices. The Telegraph report, however, claims that Arsenal are likely to pursue moves for Sesko and Gyokeres simultaneously to strengthen their negotiating position for the player they are prioritising, but that a source behind the scenes believe the situation is now a "mess".

Mikel Arteta's side will reassemble in late July and are scheduled to travel to Singapore and Hong Kong for their pre-season tour.
