Timber missed Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League and may also be sidelined for Arsenal's next game against PSG in the Champions League. The loss of the defender would be a blow for Arteta and his side as they head into the game needing to turn around a 1-0 first leg deficit if they are to secure a place in the final.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Timber has made 47 appearances in all competitions this season for Arsenal and has contributed two goals and four assists. He was replaced by Ben White against Bournemouth and the Englishman could continue at right-back against PSG. Arteta is also without defenders Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori for the trip to France and will know his defence will face a severe test up against the pace and skill of players such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue.
WHAT ARTETA SAID
Arteta offered an update on Timber following his team's defeat to Bournemouth. "Confident? At the moment, no, because he wasn't able to play here and we play in four days," he told reporters. Arteta was then quizzed further on the problem but refused to give away any information, saying: "I cannot tell you."
