According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are believed to be weighing up a surprise move for Madueke as Mikel Arteta looks to reinforce his wide options ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. Though no official contact has yet been made between the clubs, the Gunners are among several teams reported to be keeping tabs on the England international’s situation at Stamford Bridge.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Madueke is not on Chelsea’s transfer list at the moment. However, it’s understood that he is not viewed as indispensable by the west London club either, prompting interest from potential suitors, including Arsenal.

The former PSV Eindhoven star enjoyed a solid season at Stamford Bridge, notching 11 goals and providing five assists across all competitions. His performances earned him a call-up to the England national team, and he notably assisted Harry Kane’s decisive goal against Andorra during the last international break.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Madueke’s appeal lies in his ability to operate effectively on either wing, offering tactical versatility that aligns with Arteta’s attacking philosophy. With Bukayo Saka an ever-present threat on the right but often lacking sufficient backup, the addition of Madueke would provide a much-needed option either as cover or to stretch defences from the opposite flank.

    WHAT NEXT FOR MADUEKE?

Enzo Maresca has plenty of other wingers to rely upon at Chelsea, with Pedro Neto currently preferred on the right. The Blues will also welcome Estevao Willian to the team after the conclusion of the FIFA Club World Cup.
