Ander Herrera to Boca Juniors! Former Man Utd favourite finalising move to Argentine giants to fulfil dream ahead of exit from Athletic Club

The move will see Herrera don the iconic blue and yellow jersey of Boca Juniors and play at La Bombonera, fulfilling a long-held aspiration while closing the chapter on his time at Athletic Club.

Herrera’s current contract with Athletic Club is set to expire this summer. Reports indicate Boca have offered him a deal running until December 2025, with an option to extend. The Spanish midfielder has struggled for consistent game time this season, making 14 appearances but starting in only three matches. A muscle injury has kept him sidelined recently, further limiting his contributions to the team.

Over the years, Herrera has enjoyed a distinguished career in European football. After making his professional debut with Real Zaragoza, he earned a move to Athletic Club, where his performances caught the eye of United. During his time at Old Trafford, Herrera was a vital cog in midfield, helping the team win multiple trophies, including the Europa League and FA Cup.
