Alejandro Garnacho sends love to Argentina World Cup winner Emi Martinez after bagging a brace for Man Utd against Aston Villa

The winger fired in twice as United came back from two goals down to beat Villa 3-2 at Old Trafford on Tuesday. Even though he caused the upset against his Argentina team-mate, Garnacho showed his appreciation for Martinez on Instagram after the game.

Garnacho posted images of him celebrating his goals against Villa on Boxing Day. Among them was a picture of Martinez helping his international co-star by holding his legs as he struggled with cramp towards the end of the match. Garnacho added blue and white love hearts on the image, the colours of the Argentina jersey.

Garnacho, who has featured three times in the Argentina team alongside Martinez, helped United to a much-needed win when he struck twice in the Boxing Day clash. United had failed to win in their last three Premier League matches, resulting in some dire criticism of Erik ten Hag's team.

Now on five goals in 25 matches in all competitions for United this season, Garnacho will hope to help inspire his team to another victory when they round off their year with a visit to Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Meanwhile, Martinez and Villa will attempt to bounce back when they come up against Burnley on the same day.
