Liverpool are inching closer to sealing Florian Wirtz's transfer, with the German sensation informing Bayer Leverkusen of his desire to join the Reds.
Per Fabrizio Romano, Wirtz has told Leverkusen that he wants to join Liverpool this summer. The midfielder has agreed on personal terms with the Reds and the English champions have now started to negotiate a transfer fee for the player.
Per Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg, Leverkusen are now working to complete the player's transfer swiftly and are waiting for the Reds' first offer. The former German champions reportedly want a sizeable transfer fee and a player from the English side, as they are looking to add a goalkeeper, a defender, a striker and a potential replacement for Wirtz.
