Mathys Tel gives green light to 'immediate' Man Utd transfer after rejecting Tottenham with Arsenal also set to miss out on Bayern Munich forward

Per Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg, the Frenchman is willing to move to the Premier League and join United in the January transfer window as the Red Devils are now holding a new round of transfer talks with Bayern Munich. The report adds that the English giants have already seen their first loan bid rejected by the Bavarian side as they want an improved bid, ideally including an obligation to buy or a permanent transfer offer.

Tel has been linked with a move away from Allianz Arena in the January window. Tottenham led the race for a time, and promised to offer regular first-team football, but the French attacker reportedly rejected a move to the north London club. Spurs' arch-rivals Arsenal are also in for the 19-year-old, however, they are likely to miss out as he seeks to push through a move to United.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tel's biggest football idols, Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry, could play a part in the French star's decision to move to the Premier League.

It remains to be seen if the Red Devils can come up with a concrete offer to convince Bayern to part ways with their teenage star before the window slams shut on Monday.
