Remo Stars' Walbe sets high expectation for El Kanemi Warriors tie

David Walbe hopes Remo Stars get a positive result against El Kanemi Warriors in their Nigerian topflight encounter on Sunday.

A 1-0 win over Nasarawa United saw Fatai Osho's men move a place away from the bottom of the log. And they have posted improved results in their past three encounters having won two and drawn one.

On the other hand, their hosts on Sunday, have regressed badly since the restart of the league. They have recorded only a win in their previous five league fixtures.

And a fortnight ago their impressive home record was breached by Enugu Rangers, followed up by a 3-0 loss to Katsina United on Sunday.

These results have seen them their drop out of the top three in the log as they currently occupy the fifth position.

He believes they can compound the Ladan Bosso-led side's woes to secure a good result at the El Kanemi Stadium.

"We are hoping to get something from that match because we have the belief in the team and the coaches are doing a very good job," Walbe told Goal.

"The players are responding and they the believe is there that something good can come out of the game. We are just hoping to get a positive one.

"We are all prepared mentally, physically and mentally [for what is expected to be thrown at us in Maiduguri]. We are very prepared.

"With the position that we are and the player of the team; I'll be hoping that we have the maximum three points but if we can't get that we should then go away with a draw. I'm not praying for anything less than this."
