Tusker top caution record in Kenyan Premier League

A total of total of 408 cards have been issued in opening half of Kenyan Premier League with leaders Tusker receiving highest number of bookings.

Teams have picked a combined 20 red cards, 374 first yellow and 14 second-yellow cards, bringing to total, 408 cards including six straight red cards in the first leg of the league.

Just like they lead the table, the brewers are also top of the number of cautions, two better than the 28 points they have so far garnered after 14 matches. Tusker players have so far chalked in 34 cautions – thirty - first yellow, two-second yellow cards, same as Zoo Kericho on thirty two - first yellow cards and two-second yellow cards.

Thika United, 15th on the table and a trip to Mumias this weekend where they will face Nzoia Sugar, have so far accumulated 28 cards (twenty five-first yellow, two-second yellow and a straight red), a stuck contrast of Saturday’s opponent, Nzoia Sugar, who have received least bookings. The cane cutters have only twelve - first yellow card in the referee records while Sofapaka, famously known as Batoto ba Mungu, are the second least booked side with 17 cards.

Sofapa​ka, ​fifth on the standings will take on Nakumatt FC, who sit on position nine with 19 points. Posta Rangers have so far received only  fourteen - first yellow cards and two second yellows. Only six players have so far received straight caution to the dressing room.
