Tusker sign former Thika United left-back Sammy Mejja on a three-year deal

Tusker have sealed their fifth signing of the season after luring former Thika United left-back Sammy Mejja to Ruaraka.

Mejja will be expected to be a valuable cover on the left side of the defense after he penned a three-year deal with the Brewers .

Mejja, who had a six-year stint with Thika United, is an established player and his experience will be of good use for coach Robert Matano, who guided Tusker to a third-place finish last season, behind Bandari and Gor Mahia in the top tier.

“I’d like to thank Tusker FC for giving me this opportunity to play. I have played with some players and I know everyone here want to win; I have the same ambition as them. Hopefully, we can push each other to achieve that,” noted the defender after penning a deal with the former Kenya Premier League champions.

Tusker have also signed Michael Madoya from Zoo Kericho FC on a three-year deal. Other new signings include midfielder Clyde Senaji, defender Hillary Wandera, and volatile Rwandan forward Muzerwa Amini, who joined from Rwanda Police.
